Computing

The Computing curriculum at St Michael’s equips all children regardless of their abilities, gifts and talents to be able to be active members in an increasingly digital world. We want children to become autonomous, independent users of computing technologies, gaining confidence and enjoyment from their activities. Our high-quality computing education equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. Our Computing curriculum focuses on a progression of skills in digital literacy, computer science, information technology and digital citizenship to ensure children become competent and safe in using, as well as understanding, technology. Our goal is that computing also supports children’s creativity and cross curricular learning to engage children and enrich their experiences in school and beyond.
