School Uniform
St. Michael’s has a school uniform which is compulsory for all pupils from Reception to Year 6 to wear.
It consists of:-
Boys
- Grey Trousers
- Maroon sweatshirt
- White polo shirt
- Black shoes
- Hi-Vis vest
Girls
- Grey skirt or pinafore dress
- Maroon Cardigan or sweatshirt
- White polo shirt
- Maroon Kamees
- White shalwar
- Black shoes
- Hi-Vis vest
School uniform can be purchased from many of the larger supermarkets and other retail stores.
The following items contain the school logo and can be purchased from the school office:-
Sweatshirt (all sizes) …. £9.00 each
Cardigan (all sizes) …… £12.00 each
Book bag …………………… £4.00 each
Hi-Vis vest …………………. £2.00 each
P.E. Kit (all sizes)………… £15.00 each
If parents wish, in warmer weather grey shorts and a white short sleeved shirt may be worn by boys and a red and white checked dress by girls. We ask that parents send children to school in sensible footwear for obvious reasons of safety.
It is not compulsory for children to have labelled uniform.
P.E. Kit
It is essential that all children have suitable clothing for Physical Education. The agreed PE kit for each year group is blue, black or maroon shorts or jogging bottoms, a plain white T-shirt and a blue, black or maroon zip up hoodie. It would be appreciated if these could be contained in a suitable bag, clearly labelled with the child’s name. Children in Reception and Year One should come to school wearing their kit on their allocated PE days.
Swimming
Swimming costume (or lycra leggings and leotard) or trunks (children in Year 5)
Jewellery
Teachers cannot be held responsible for loss of personal property brought to school by children, especially items of jewellery. Earrings, including sleepers, and bracelets present a particular problem, both with regard to safety and security. Parents are therefore respectfully requested to avoid sending children to school in such items.
